Kanji Questについて

Kanji Questは、英語を話す子どもが、日本語の漢字・読み・意味をゲーム感覚で練習するための学習Webアプリです。

現在できること 実装済み

  • 文部科学省の学年別漢字配当表に基づく小学3年生の漢字200字クイズ
  • 10・20・50・200問から選択し、200問では全字を1回ずつ出題
  • Level 1・Level 2の自然な日常会話を各10文収録
  • Level 1を10問中8問以上で2回クリアするとLevel 2を解放
  • 5問・10問のクイズを選択
  • 漢字を含む語句の読みを選択式で練習
  • 英語と絵文字のヒントを段階的に表示
  • 答え・読み・英語の意味を確認
  • XP、ベストスコア、レベル進捗を使用中の端末に保存

  • 単語学習、音声、例文、複数形式クイズを組み合わせたLearning Loop
  • 発音練習と、端末内の学習履歴に応じた復習
  • 忘却曲線を参考に出題内容を調整するAdaptive Spaced Repetition
  • 日本の同年代の子どもとの会話に役立つ自然な表現の追加

学習履歴について

現在保存されるのはXP、ベストスコア、レベル進捗です。将来の個別復習機能では、利用者が同意した場合に限り、学習履歴をその端末内に保存する設計を予定しています。別の端末には自動同期されません。

About Kanji Quest

Kanji Quest is a learning web app that helps English-speaking children practice Japanese kanji, readings, and meanings through a game-like experience.

Available now Implemented

  • A quiz covering all 200 Grade 3 kanji in Japan’s official grade-level allocation
  • Choose 10, 20, 50, or all 200 questions; the 200-question mode shows every character once
  • 10 natural, everyday spoken sentences each for Level 1 and Level 2
  • Unlock Level 2 by scoring at least 8/10 twice at Level 1
  • Choose a quiz length of 5 or 10 questions
  • Practice the readings of words containing kanji
  • Reveal English and picture clues step by step
  • Check the answer, reading, and English meaning
  • Save XP, best scores, and level progress on the current device

In development and planned Not implemented

  • A Learning Loop combining vocabulary, audio, examples, and multiple quiz formats
  • Pronunciation practice and review based on learning history saved on the device
  • Adaptive Spaced Repetition that adjusts questions using forgetting-curve principles
  • More natural expressions useful for communicating with Japanese children of a similar age
This is a test version
Kanji Quest is currently being tested as an MVP. If anything is confusing or unnatural—or especially fun—please share your feedback with the person who introduced you to the app.

Learning history

At present, XP, best scores, and level progress are saved. A future personalized-review feature is planned to store learning history on the device only when the user agrees. It will not automatically sync to another device.
